Short narrated runs on a sample monorepo: goals that plan, build and verify, subagents
working in parallel, loops that keep watch, issues taken to pull requests, and Topsoil inside VS Code.
Demo 1
/goal: plan, build, verify, repeat
One /goal command adds a hazmat surcharge across three services. Topsoil explores, waits for you to approve its plan, implements, and keeps fixing until verification passes, then reviews the change and writes the PR.
Demo 2
Subagents: a team inside your terminal
Read-only explore subagents map three services in parallel. An implement subagent writes the change, and verify and review subagents on a different model check it independently.
Demo 3
Topsoil in VS Code: a fix in its own worktree
Topsoil fixes a 429 rate-limit bug from the VS Code terminal in its own git worktree. You see the full IDE: the Explorer, the turn diff, the permission card and the worktree in Source Control.
Demo 4
/loop: the agent that keeps watch
A recurring /loop keeps CI green on main. The first fire fixes a broken test; later fires find nothing to do, and the loop stops itself.
Demo 5
/task: from issue to pull request, safely
/task takes a GitHub issue all the way to a PR. A terraform apply is denied, make test is always-allowed, and main is never touched.
Demo 6
A goal-driven run in VS Code
A /goal removes duplicate SKUs from inside VS Code. When it finishes, the Topsoil extension opens its own diff of both files, and git shows the change committed on a Topsoil branch with main untouched.
